Landers - The Blue House
Father Patrick "Paddy" Landers was the parish priest of St Christopher's, Panania for over 50 years, and was instrumental in supporting MSJ during its establishment in the early 1960s.
The parish was formed on 1 February 1952 with the arrival of Father Landers. Father Landers was known and respected by everyone in the Panania area, including Protestants, Catholics and even some atheists. In 1955 two sisters of St Joseph arrived to teach 122 children in kindergarten, first class and second class at the new school.
Father Landers was well known and well loved by the people of St Christopher's parish. He passed away in March 2000, but his legacy lives on at Mount St Joseph.
